Invitation to study tour to IPTS in Sevilla, Spain, 20–21 January 2011.


The EU-kommission's own resarch organisation JRC – Joint Resarch Centre – invites through Eusja 20 European science journalists to IPTS – The Institute for Prospective Technological Studies – in Sevilla, Spain. The institute works with the interplay between technology, economics and society.

Time: 20–21 januari 2011.

Eusja-rules apply. Partcipants pay for the trip to Sevilla, and the hosts cover expenses for meals and lodging.

Thursday January 20 - afternoon
- Information Society activities
- Remote Patient Monitoring and Treatment
- European codes of conduct for ICT: European Action to Improve the Energy Efficiency of Information and Communication Technologies (JRC-IE)
Evening: social event with JRC-IPTS researchers – guided visit to the roofs of the Seville Cathedral followed by a dinner.

Friday January 21 - morning
- Competitiveness of European ICT industries
