FREE PLACES AVAILABLE FOR WORLD CONFERENCE

The board of EUSJA has decided to pay the regstration fee for ten
EUSJA members wishing to attend the 6th World Conference of Science
Journalists being held in London, 30th June to 3rd July, 2009. EUSJA
members are invited to compete for a cash prize worth approximately
600 euro.  The winners will be announced at the General Assemby in
Trieste in March.


Why I Want To Go To The World Conference in London

Please write a short piece maximum of 600 words telling us what you
hope to gain from attendance.  Do you want to meet the leading names
in the world of science? Is it the prospect of learning of the latest
in global climate research and the spread of infectious disease which
is exciting you? Do you want to meet other science journalists and
learn of the latest technological advances available to enable
reporters, writers and broadcasters carry out their work?  Or is the
prospect of a stay in London that appeals?

programme news.

Please note that EUSJA is only paying the attendance fee.  EUSJA can
not offer travel and hotel costs. For this reason we need an
undertaking that all these other costs can be met. Send in your entry
and a guarantee that you can pay.
